Good to know
- Arrive at the Pyramid entrance 15 minutes before your entry time. Security checks are mandatory for every visitor and waiting times may vary.
- Each ticket is issued in the name of its visitor. Bring an ID: the museum may check names, and age, citizenship or residence for EU/EEA and under-18 tickets.
- EU/EEA citizens and residents aged 18–25 enter free; we don't book those tickets, so please reserve yours free of charge on louvre.fr.
- The museum is closed on Tuesdays and on 1 January, 1 May and 25 December. On the first Friday evening of most months entry from 18:00 is free for everyone, so we do not sell those times.
- Other visitors can also be entitled to free admission (for example visitors with a disability and one companion). The full list of free-admission conditions is on louvre.fr; if one applies to you, you can book your free ticket directly with the museum.
- Large bags and suitcases are not allowed inside.
Questions
Is this the official Louvre ticket office? +
No. Paris Art Guides is an independent booking service. We buy your admission from the museum for the entry time you request and send it to you. Our price includes a booking fee, shown in the price details and in the summary before you pay.
When do I receive my ticket? +
Usually within a few hours, and at the latest 12 hours after payment. Your entry time is a request until then. If we cannot get it, we propose an alternative and only book it if you agree; otherwise we refund the full amount, our fee included.
Why do you need every visitor's name? +
Louvre tickets are issued in the visitor's own name and the museum may check it against an ID. Enter each name as on the ID: names can't be changed after purchase.
Does the ticket let me skip the queue? +
It means you don't need to buy a ticket on the day and you enter at a reserved time. It does not skip the security check, which every visitor passes.
Can I cancel? +
Yes, free of charge until 48 hours before 00:00 (Paris time) on your visit date, which is 2 days before. The exact deadline is shown before you pay. After that our cancellation policy does not offer a refund.
