Cancellation & refund policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This is Paris Art Guides' own cancellation policy. It covers three different situations: you cancel, we cannot provide your booking, or the venue or tour is cancelled.
1. You cancel
You can cancel free of charge until 48 hours before 00:00 (Paris time) on your visit date, that is 2 days before. The exact date and time for your booking is shown in the booking form before you pay and in your confirmation email. Email support@parisartguides.com with your booking reference. We refund the full amount you paid, service fee included, to your original payment method.
If you book after that deadline has passed (for a visit in the next 2 days), the booking form tells you so before you pay, and the booking cannot be cancelled free of charge. After the deadline, and for no-shows, our policy does not offer a refund. If you miss your entry time, the venue decides whether you can still enter.
2. We cannot provide your booking
For tickets, we buy your admission after you pay, so your requested time is not guaranteed until we issue your ticket. Within 12 hours of payment you receive your ticket or an update from us. If your time is not available, we may propose an alternative, and we only book it if you agree. If you don't accept it, or don't reply before your visit, you receive a full refund, service fee included. This also applies if we cannot provide a booking for any other reason.
3. A tour or venue is cancelled
The same free cancellation applies to our guided tours. If we cancel a tour (for example a museum closure or guide illness), you choose another date or a full refund. Late arrival or a missed tour cannot be refunded, because the group's admission is booked for a fixed time.
If the venue closes or cancels on your visit date (for example strikes, security events or high water for cruises), you can choose a new date or a full refund.
How long refunds take
We issue refunds within 3 business days of the cancellation. Your bank usually shows them within 5–10 business days.
Right of withdrawal
Under EU consumer law, the 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to leisure services provided on a specific date or in a specific period (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(l)), such as our guided tours and timed museum admissions. Cruise tickets are not tied to a specific date: you can withdraw from a cruise ticket purchase within 14 days of payment without giving a reason, as long as the ticket has not been used. Email us within that period and we refund the full amount within 14 days. See our Terms.
